PARKINGWhy do you think this is okay? It's not! Please see attached some of the images been sent to us this week by residents of Wells Lane. They know that they bought houses straight outside a school. They know that at drop off/pick up times it will be busy. They didn't, however, think that selfish, irresponsible people would park across their drives and on the turning circle where people need to "turn".
Please think. Please be considerate. Please don't abuse residents when they ask that you allow them access on and off their property. Please be responsible citizens and good role models to your children. PLEASE!

YEAR 6 - LEAVERS HOODIESIt's that time of year again already to think about our Year 6 leavers. This year we have managed to secure a great deal again with our supplier.
If you would like to take up the option of buying your year 6 child a leavers hoodie, we will be placing an order on Friday 5th December. We've attached an order form incase you would like this to be a surprise for you child however we do have printed copies in the office for you or your child to collect. Please return order form along with the correct amount in cash to the office before the order date. There may be an additional order after Christmas depending on demand, however there will possibly be a price increase due to supplier increasing prices in January.
We are awaiting samples of all sizes on offer in the office for anyone who would like to come and take a look a sizing before you place your order please call into reception. They should be here early next week.

- Children in Need14Nov2025
We will be having a non-uniform day where children can come to school dressed in pyjamas or wearing spotty/ bright coloured clothes on Friday 14th November. We suggest a voluntary contribution of £1, if you are able to, to your child's class teacher and this will be collected, counted and sent off to the Children in Need charity.
- Y4 Swimming Lessons18Nov2025
12:20 pm - 3:45 pm @ Dearneside Swimming Baths
Swimming and water safety/survival are compulsory parts of the PE curriculum in Key Stage Two. These lessons will take place at Dearneside Swimming Baths every Tuesday afternoon, commencing Tuesday 9th September 2025 and will run over 15 school weeks, the last session being Tuesday 6th January 2026. Mrs Oldknow / Mrs Beck’s class will leave school at 12.20pm (after an early lunch) and return in time to leave school at 3.00pm as normal. Mrs Bowden’s class will leave school at 1.20/25pm for a lesson 2.00-3.00pm which will mean that they will not be back at school to return home until approximately 3.45pm.
