PE and Sports Premium

At Kings Oak Primary School we firmly believe PE & Sport plays an important role in making our vision statement a reality for every pupil, with the potential to change young people’s lives for the better.

We have welcomed the Government’s announcement in June 2013 to provide additional funding for 2 years to improve the provision of physical education (PE) and sport in primary schools. We are committed to using this resource in developing high-quality PE lessons, alongside greater opportunities for sporting competitions and clubs for all our young people.

Our PE & sports premium spending plan is used effectively to ensure all children have first quality physical exercise to keep them healthy and fit.  We believe if children are active and fit it helps their brain prepare for learning.  The money allows the school to keep all staff up-skilled in the teaching of 'Real PE' and provide the children access to expertise companies such as 'Team Active'.
