NURSERY NEWS1 July 2025 (by Joanne Swift (j.swift)) |
On Wednesday 16th or Thursday 17th July, our older nursery children will be involved in a visit with their parent/carer for the next stage of their ongoing transition, ready for entering Foundation Stage 2 in September. On the day of your scheduled visit, your child will not attend nursery, the appointment you have for your visit will be the only session for your child on that day. For 30 hours children, you will be able to collect your child from Nursery at your allotted time and come for your visit, if this is in the morning then they can stay at school for the remainder of the day. Nursery will still be open to children on the opposite day of their visit to FS2 and to all the 30 hour children. For our Younger Nursery children who will be staying in Nursery next year, they will be able to meet their teacher during these transition days whilst attending as normal.
In other news, Tuesday 15th July will be Mrs Hooley’s last day with us. She has been with us since November and in that time she has had an incredible impact on the children, contributing massively to the start of their learning journey. I’m sure you’ll all want to seize an opportunity over the next couple of weeks to say goodbye and wish her well in whatever comes next. Mrs Matthewman who is already known to all the children and many of you, will be leading the nursery for those last few days.
