Despite all the festivities around school as we approach Christmas, the children are still working hard in order to achieve their targets across the curriculum. 

In Year 6 there’s lots to do to ensure children are ready for their SATS in May. Please keep in mind that we are not teaching them to pass their SATS, we are teaching them to have the knowledge and skills they require to move on to secondary school, but the measure of their attainment is gained through the SATS.

We want you to understand what is expected of the Year 6 children and how you can support them at home. We are therefore holding a SATS information meeting at 3.30pm on Monday 13^th January and we really encourage parents/carers to attend. It would be fantastic if every single child had a representative at the meeting. We will remind you about this after the holidays but we wanted to give you plenty of notice to get this in your diaries as this is important.
