We have developed an issue on the playground at home times where parents are congregating outside the classroom windows, talking loudly, sometimes swearing and disturbing the learning going on inside. We would prefer it if parents/carers could stand further away from the building but if in bad weather they want to shelter under the building canopy, please be mindful that children inside can hear what’s being said, especially when windows are open.

There is a similar issue on Tuesday’s when waiting for the Year 4 swimmers to return.  Parents collect younger siblings at 3.10pm and hang around until the coach returns. Any staff still in school are working. They are not there to be disturbed by people heckling, shouting, asking for drinks or to go to the toilet. Siblings should not be playing on school grounds - the field/outdoor shelter/trim trail.  Why not think about going up to the park for half an hour? It’s only five minutes away. Please also be reminded that the class returning on the coach need to be brought into school to be dismissed correctly as part of our safeguarding procedures.
