This is a very exciting and busy year for our Year 6 children as they approach their very last weeks as pupils at Kings Oak. Although some of this information is vague and being shared with you early, we wanted to provide some dates which are important to you and your child. 

Tempest Photography will be in school TOMORROW (Wednesday 1st May) to take the year 6 leavers photographs. Please ensure your child is wearing their full school uniform. For various reasons, some children have not been allowed on class pictures in the past. Can we please assume that EVERY child has permission to be taken as part of the group picture, as many children like this as a souvenir of their time at primary school and so like all their friends to be on the photograph. Please email office@kingsoakplc.org.uk if your child needs to be withdrawn from this picture, otherwise we will presume to have your permission. 

We are planning two showings of a Leavers Perfomance, 4.00pm on Thursday 11th July and 1.45pm on Monday 15th July. Ticket news will follow nearer the time. 

There has been some delay in finalising dates for the end of year celebrations as we have been awaiting for some of the secondary schools to confirm their transition arrangements. The children have said they do not want a prom this year as they would prefer a day much like last year's leavers had with a whole day party. This day will be completely funded by us and we will no be asking for any contribution from yourselves. You will also be spared the "prom dress/ outfit" expense as that's just not necessary for a party day. This has been pencilled in for Tuesday 16th July. More information to follow.
