Family Reading will now take place on Thursday mornings starting next week on Thursday 14th September. We encourage as many parents, carers and grandparents to come in to school to enjoy a book with the children for the first 20 minutes of the day/session (8.40-9.00am for most families). Please come along to read to your little one and their friends – it could be a story book, a quiz, some poetry or a magazine. Every week, we will put the children’s names are into a hat and a prize of a book and chocolates can be won. If you have more than one child, simply pick a classroom and take all the children along together. Don’t worry if you’re a parent who works on Thursday morning, as at the end of each term we will do a special prize draw for all the children who read regularly with parents at home and who fill in their reading records.
